1. Check Your Device Settings

  • Open Microsoft Teams.
  • Click on your profile picture at the top right.
  • Select ‘Settings’.
  • Click on ‘Devices’ in the left-hand menu.
  • Under ‘Audio devices’, check if the correct microphone and speakers are selected.
  • Under ‘Camera’, check if the correct camera is selected.
  • If your devices are not listed, check if they are connected properly and recognized by your computer.

2. Check Camera Privacy Settings

  • Go to Windows Settings (press Windows + I).
  • Click on ‘Privacy’.
  • Select ‘Camera’ from the left-hand menu.
  • Make sure that ‘Allow apps to access your camera’ is turned on.
  • In the list of apps, make sure that Teams is allowed to access your camera.


3. Check Microphone Privacy Settings

  • Go to Windows Settings.
  • Click on ‘Privacy’.
  • Select ‘Microphone’ from the left-hand menu.
  • Make sure that ‘Allow apps to access your microphone’ is turned on.
  • In the list of apps, make sure that Teams is allowed to access your microphone.


Test Call in Microsoft Teams

  • In Teams, click on your profile picture.
  • Select ‘Settings’.
  • Click on ‘Devices’.
  • Under ‘Audio devices’, click on ‘Make a test call’.
  • Follow the instructions to check if your microphone and speakers are working properly.
