When adding a contact to any of the Board Group Distribution lists, follow this guide to ensure that the contact is created correctly with the exchange attributes.

By default contacts are not mail enabled.


  1. Create Contact in Active Directory - OU=Contacts,OU=Azure_sync,OU=System Accounts and Contacts,OU=.Cape York Partnership,DC=cyp,DC=local
  2. RDP into SVRCYP13
  3. Run Exchange Management Shell (EMS).
  4. Run Command..

            enable-mailcontact -Identity 'Rob Koczkar' -ExternalEmailAddress rob.koczkar@adamantem.com.au -Alias rob.koczkar

       5. Run AD sync

       6. Done.
