This guide is suitable for Pairing the Tyro EFTPOS machine with a user account on the CYH remote desktop.

This is necessary as the tyro server is running on the remote desktop server and is user account dependant.  Without the pairing, tyro / easy claim will not work within best practice as it is intergrated into BP.

Following setting up Tyro pairing, the user should now be empowered to utilize the eftpos machine for the purpose of billing at the practice.

The process to pair is as follows...

  1. Log in to the users profile on remote desktop - remote.cyh.org.au
  2. Open Control Panel
  3. Open "Tyro Terminal Adapter (32 bit)
  4. Enter the Default Merchant ID - 140395
  5. Enter the Default Terminal ID - 1
  6. Leave Printing Location on Default - "Print EFTPOS receipts on the Tyro Terminal"
  7. Go to the "Pairing Mode" tab
  8. Select "Current remote device"
  9. Leave the interfaces tab to default - unchecked "Enable File Watcher interface"
  10. Return to the Configure and Pair Tab.
  11. Ask the user at the practice (or any staff will do) to press the "menu" button on the Tyro EFTPOS machine.
  12. Direct the user to go to option "5 - Configuration" advise the user of the Tyro EFT Pin (pin in keepass)
  13. Direct the user to go to  "1 - Intergrated EFTPOS"
  14. Direct the user to Select "Pair with POS"
  15. Ask the user to check that the details on the EFT machine reflect what's on the remote desktop such as the Merchant ID and the Default Terminal ID.  It will be printed on the screen.
  16. If the details match, ask the user to press start.
  17. Back on the remote desktop session, click on "Save and Pair".
  18. Once a successful pairing is reported, click on "OK"

This finalises the process, now the user should have tyro fully intergrated with their Best Practice account.
