It's recommended that a decomissioned server remain in veeam and vsphere for at least 1 year.

If the reliance is low during this period on the old server then continue with this procedure.

Run Veeam backup (SVRCYP07)

1. Once remoted into svrcyp07, open Veeam.
2. Open "Inventory"
3. Locate desired Server, right click it, click on backup to "D:\Data\VEEAM_Zip"

Backup to GA cloud

1. On your own local machine, run powershell as admin
2. Use robocopy to copy the file from svrcyp07 across to the Synced GA Archive folder (make sure you have the folder synced first, if not here is a link - CYP File Archives (2) - Documents - All Documents).  See below..

   robocopy "\\svrcyp07\d$\Data\VEEAM_Zip" "C:\Users\gbrowne\Cape York Girl Academy\CYP File Archives (2) - Documents\CYP Veeam Server ZIP Backups" "DHealth-BPD2025-06-18T133206_8F39.vbk" /COPYALL /R:3 /W:10 /MT:8 /LOG:"C:\Users\gbrowne\Cape York Girl Academy\CYP File Archives (2) - Documents\CYP Veeam Server ZIP Backups\logs\DHealth-BPD2025-06-18T133206_8F39.txt" /TEE /ETA

3. Check the Log file for a successful copy.

Backup to DC Server (svrcypgvbackup) use robocopy

1. On your own local machine, run powershell as admin 
2. Use robocopy to copy the file from svrcyp07 across to the DC Veeam data folder. See below..
