- Open Bp Premier and log in with an account that has Configuration permissions set to "Allow access"
- Navigate to Setup > Configuration
- From the Bp Premier home screen, click on "Setup"
- Select "Configuration" from the menu
- Select Bp Service
- In the Configuration screen, look for "Bp Service" in the left-hand menu
- Click on it
- Check the automatic update setting
- Look for the checkbox: "Use Bp Service for automatically deploying the data update"
- If this is ticked, automatic updates are enabled
- If enabled, click "Configure Data Update" to see the schedule settings
- Review the schedule(if automatic updates are enabled):
- You'll see options for when Bp Premier checks for data updates
- You'll also see which staff members receive notifications when updates complete
Important Notes:
- At least one staff member must be selected to receive completion notifications
- The server must be powered on and a user logged into Windows at the scheduled update time (you can lock the server for security)
- Data updates can run during business hours with no disruption to the software
- Updates are released monthly (usually at the beginning of each month)
To Check Your Current Database Version:
Go to Help > About and check the "Last Drug Update" field to see which version is currently installed.
