1. Open Bp Premier and log in with an account that has Configuration permissions set to "Allow access"
  2. Navigate to Setup > Configuration
    • From the Bp Premier home screen, click on "Setup"
    • Select "Configuration" from the menu
  3. Select Bp Service
    • In the Configuration screen, look for "Bp Service" in the left-hand menu
    • Click on it
  4. Check the automatic update setting
    • Look for the checkbox: "Use Bp Service for automatically deploying the data update"
    • If this is ticked, automatic updates are enabled
    • If enabled, click "Configure Data Update" to see the schedule settings
  5. Review the schedule(if automatic updates are enabled):
    • You'll see options for when Bp Premier checks for data updates
    • You'll also see which staff members receive notifications when updates complete

Important Notes:

  • At least one staff member must be selected to receive completion notifications
  • The server must be powered on and a user logged into Windows at the scheduled update time (you can lock the server for security)
  • Data updates can run during business hours with no disruption to the software
  • Updates are released monthly (usually at the beginning of each month)

To Check Your Current Database Version:

Go to Help > About and check the "Last Drug Update" field to see which version is currently installed.
